A long cherished dream of a few enthusiastic movie buff faculty to start a student centric in-house film society ultimately became a movement and took shape in the form of “THE BIOSCOPE BUGS”. An occasion that was most appropriate and infallible was the centennial celebrations of Indian Cinema, propelled us to initiate this in-house film society.
The inaugural clap of “THE BIOSCOPE BUGS” was on December 19, 2012.
The inauguration had all the Glam and Fame that befits the occasion. We were singularly fortunate that “THE BIOSCOPE BUGS” was inaugurated by none other than Dr. Kiran Phalke – the grandson of the father of Indian cinema Dadasaheb Phalke. He made the day very nostalgic. The charming & talented Model-Cine artist Ms. Gauri Nigudkar (an alumnus of KVPC) graced the occasion. She introduced the audience with an insider’s sight to the lanes and by-lanes of filmmaking.
